about me:
as a
small child, i spoke only german at home and when i went to kindergarten,
i was considered retarded and was allowed to make things out of play-doh
all day. i did eventually learn english, and with a pit-stop at oberlin
college, got my mfa in visual art from vermont college. in 2003, yearning
for a specific watery geography, i packed up my honda civic (r.i.p.)
and drove across the country, passing through all the states that begin
with the letter "i" and discovered my trajectory ended in
seattle.
i make audio and visual work about the weather, maps, identity, and
the daily. i live with cupcake
marlys, genius cat.
lately, i've become
obsessed with the semiotics of color.
